„Oceti Wakan“ means Sacred Fireplace<\/strong>\u2014the gathering place where family, culture, and healing come together. Thirty-six years ago, our founders lit a fire to fight addiction and suicide on Pine Ridge. For the past decade, we’ve been building something extraordinary: a culturally grounded K-12 prevention curriculum rooted in the teachings of the medicine wheel, nurturing the physical, emotional, spiritual, and mental bodies of our youth.
The impact has been profound:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00b7       6,000+ students<\/strong> across 41 schools now use our Life Skills prevention curriculum daily<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cindy ist jetzt 79 Jahre alt und noch voll aktiv, um diese Vision Sacred Fire Place
umzusetzten \u2013 ich werde sie so viel wie m\u00f6glich unterst\u00fctzen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

5000 Kinder <\/strong>werden nach ihren Schulb\u00fcchern in den Schulen in North-,
Southdakota, Nebraska unterrichtet.
von der 1. Bis 8 Klasse und dann noch 2 B\u00fccher f\u00fcr das College 1. und 2. Stufe
Der neue Pr\u00e4sident hat sofort auch bei ihr die Gelder gestrichen, die sie f\u00fcr die
Ausbildung der Lehrer braucht \u2013 \u00fcber dieses Thema werde ich noch berichten \u2013 warum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sie durfte mit der Hilfe von ihrer Tochter eine 98-seitiges Protokoll machen,
das genau \u00fcber ihre Projekte berichtet – Abgabe 22. Juli 2025
Sie hat es geschafft und muss jetzt warten \u2013 bis sie eine Antwort von der Regierung bekommt.

Die Boardingschulen wurden bis 1980 gef\u00fchrt \u2013 \u201eKill the Indian \u2013 save the Man\u201c<\/strong>
Der Schaden ist bis JETZT noch sp\u00fcrbar und darf geheilt werden.
Cindy leistet hier eine Heilarbeit, die weit \u00fcber unsere Grenzen hinausgeht.
Denn in Pine Ridge leben ca. 48.000 Lakotas.

\nWhy do you think that is? We believe it has to do with intergenerational trauma and not understanding the life skills necessary to make healthy choices.<\/p>\n
